Bison Livestock visit

On the grounds of the Kanatha-Aki Nature Activity Center, we offer you the unique opportunity to encounter North America’s largest land mammal: the “Athabascae” wood bison.

Our trails lead you to Quebec's first Athabascan wood bison reserve — a reserve our team established to protect and study these animals, classified as an endangered species. Interpretation panels along the way explain how bison live, what they eat, how they move through the seasons, and what conservation work we're doing to support their future.

Please check in at our office located in the welcome chalet. From there, we will guide you to the tour site where you will meet your guide.

Comfortable clothing and walking shoes.

No drugs or alcohol allowed on site.
